It is that time already, thinking about getting back to school. As we go into the autumn/winter term and the weather changes, we were sent some jackets to review from the TOG24 kids' range of Winter jackets. So we took the kids out for a weekend of outdoor activities to see if the coats stood the test of school coats that can be worn day after day.
We took the dogs with us to the beach on Saturday for a dog walk, and did a litter pick at the same time, to keep our beach clean. The dogs love running around with the kids and the boys did a lot of rolling down the stones and play fighting (the love stick battles!). It was a really weird day weather-wise - the sun was out but it kept raining on and off too. It was very windy and there were lots of kite surfers around. Despite the weather the children stayed dry and toasty-warm in their jackets.
The boys were very excited to discover some hidden pockets on their coats. Each coat had six pockets, including a tiny zip one on the sleeve which was the perfect size to fit two packs of lovehearts into each! Perfect for secret sweet stashing or carrying the bits of lego ours seem to take everywhere.
On Sunday we went to Felixstowe, a different local beach to have a run around on the beach. Some climbing and swinging on the playground meant more rough and tumble but the coats stood the test. Millie's coat is slightly thinner than the boys' ones but she said it was very warm - and she is usually the first person to complain about the cold! We chilled out after the beach with waffles from the local waffle shack.
From beach walk to the playground, these coats were comfy and kept the children super warm. My children are wearing (left to right), Dowles Hooded Down Jacket in Playful Pink (size 164cm), Duggan Waterproof Jacket in Navy (size 152cm) and Duggan Waterproof Jacket in Rumba (size 128cm).
