Celebrate the first National Triathlon Day on 7th May

The very first National Triathlon Day is being launched by Zone3 and everyone is invited to a FREE event to celebrate at Divers Cove, Surrey UK (4pm – 8pm) on the 7th May.

Despite triathlon being enjoyed by thousands, if not millions across the world, there has never been a ‘National Day’ to celebrate the multi discipline sport. That is, until now. I know there are national days for absolutely everything - from ’national doughnut eating day’ to ‘take your grandma to work day’ - but for those who love triathlon, this is their dedicated day to talk triathlon all day and get out there and do what they love the most!

Divers Cove is a truly stunning place to swim and is one of the places featured in my book, Swimming Wild in South East England. I am delighted to say I will be at the event on 7th May, selling copies of my book. The event isn’t just for triathletes; swimmers are welcome too.

On 7th May, from 4pm–8pm at Divers Cove, North Park Lane, Bletchingley, Godstone RH9 8ND,

Zone3 is welcoming everyone to find out what triathlon is all about. National Triathlon Day is a new annual event, officially registered and created by Zone3 to mark the start of the triathlon season and bring the community together.

Be part of the first National Tri Day and join us for a big day of open water swimming, wetsuit testing, coaching, athlete insight, partner activations, competitions and more. Free swimming and kit demos will be available for visitors and you will also be able to get on turbo trainers for a bike session.

There will be partner stalls and activities throughout the event, and I am delighted to be selling copies of my book for those interested in open water swimming at Divers Cove and other locations in the area.

The Zone3 team will be on hand throughout the day to help with wetsuit fit, product questions and open water guidance. There is also the opportunity to be coached by top professionals and listen to a pro athlete Q & A. Absolutely no experience is necessary.

Whilst the event is free to attend, contributions will be accepted for Level Water, a charity which is dedicated to providing children with disabilities with the opportunity to swim.  The day will also mark Zone3’s commitment to donate £1 to Level Water for every pair of goggles sold this season.

Special guests

Members of the team at Zone3 will be joined by well-known triathletes including Kieran Lindars who has just set a new British Ironman record in the 2026 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas (North American Championship) on the 18th April. Kieran, one of Britain’s leading long-course triathletes and the British long-distance record holder, will join us for a live Q&A.

Scott Hill, a British Triathlon Level 3 High Performing Coach and former RAF Triathlon Head Coach, will lead a live coaching session focused on practical advice for open water and race season.

Whether you’re getting ready for your first open water swim or already building towards a packed race calendar, this is a chance to get involved, learn from the right people, and start the season on a high. So come along to Divers Cove, Surrey, to give it a ‘tri’!
