The Big Swim 2026 takes place in two stunning locations: Brighton and Dorset and is calling for 1,000-plus swimmers to take part in this very unique event. I loved taking part in it last year and I am extremely excited to be speaking at the 2026 event too!

The event is organised by PinkNicky, Land and Wave host the Dorset swim and Sea Lanes host the Brighton Swim. Join us in supporting the South Coast’s largest wild swimming gathering, celebrating International Women’s Day alongside a vibrant and supportive community.
I am supporting The Big Swim because it's such an amazing event for celebrating swimming with other women. Not only is this likely to be a record-breaking event in its own right, but it demonstrates just what can be achieved when swimmers, sponsors, partners and volunteers come together and support each other.
Uniting Through Wild Swimming
There’s something magical about the sea - the way it connects us to ourselves, to nature and to each other. Wild swimming has become a sanctuary, a place where we feel alive, free, and part of a larger community. The thought of gathering 1,000 swimmers across two stunning locations (Brighton and Sandbanks) to share in that experience is exhilarating and most definitely lifts your spirits.
I had a fantastic time swimming here last year, with friends. Swimming with so many other women in the sea was just exhilarating, especially with the bouncy waves.

A Community Coming Together
The Big Swim is about more than just the swim itself - it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and connection. From the sparkly, colourful outfits we’re encouraged to wear to the group photo that will capture this unforgettable moment, it’s a chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
The Big Swim - Meet the Authors
Happening before the swim is The Big Swim Panel Talk - come along to The Big Swim Panel Talk on 14 March 2026, to hear an incredible panel of women discuss the healing power of water.
I'm thrilled to be one of the speakers at this event. Along with Vertebrate Publishing authors Jo Moseley and Sara Barnes, we will be speaking as part of The Big Swim in Brighton. Introduced by The Big Swim Organiser Nicky Chisholm, the panel will be hosted by Jo.

In the week of International Women’s Day, celebrate female togetherness and the healing power of water in the vibrant seaside city of Brighton. Held at Sea Lanes, with an incredible panel of women for whom healing is part of their stories. Afterwards, come along to join in The Big Swim with hundreds of other women!
Being near water can have a significant reviving effect on mind and body. This panel all have different challenging backgrounds but are brought together as part of a sisterhood relating to the open water. Through wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and just being in the outdoors, Natasha, Jo and Sara all have unique and powerful personal stories. They have shared their stories through books and films, and will be speaking about their experiences at this intimate event.
The authors will be doing a book signing after the talk and their books will be available to purchase on the day, including the launch of Natasha’s brand new book, Swimming Wild in South East England which features Brighton and last year’s Big Swim in the guidebook.

Making Waves for a Cause
One of the reasons I am so passionate about The Big Swim is its commitment to giving back. This event proudly supports Surfers Against Sewage, a charity dedicated to protecting our oceans from pollution and fighting for a sustainable future. £1 from every ticket sale for our Panel Talk will be going to Surfers Against Sewage.
