Sunrise hike to East Lane and back - February 2021

10 mile hike today with my friend Chloe, from Shingle Street to East Lane and back. This is a great route because you get to see the sea at both Shingle Street, walk along the sea wall and then get the rocky cove of Bawdsey at the other end.

I am feeling strong nowadays, mentally and physically. I am sure the last year has taken a toll on you as much as it has on me. Getting outdoors makes me feel alive. Even when it's raining.

Sunrise is a such a great time to walk. It sets you up for the day and you have the added bonus of hopefully seeing a beautiful sky. Plus it's quiet and you can hear the birdsong. And when you finish you still have the rest of the day to enjoy!
